Websites hosted on Web220 are currently offline while we troubleshoot a networking problem. We hope to have service restored shortly and will update this post when we have more information
2012-07-10 19:33 UTC: the network problem was caused by a massive, sustained denial-of-service attack targeting Web220’s main IP address. We’ve switched the main IP to a new address and have emailed affected customers with the details. Customer sites are slowly coming back online as the new IP propagates through DNS.
2012-07-10 21:28 UTC: a new attack has started on web220. We’re working to restore service at this time.
2012-07-11 00:53 UTC: at this time, and for the past ~2 hours, we’ve had the attack mostly under control. Web220 is responsive and sites are online at this time. We’ll continue to actively monitor Web220 until we’re confident that the issue is resolved.
Web226 is currently down for emergency maintenance. The file system went read only and required a fsck on reboot. We are currently running the fsck and we’ll continue to update this post with additional information as it is available.
2012-07-06 20:42 UTC: The fsck is finished and we’re now bringing the server online.
2012-07-06 20:46 UTC: The server is now back online.
